The Client's Challenge

the main concerns & Issues

  • Hachette Book Group's mission-critical DAM had become a liability. With over 600,000 products in its catalog, the legacy Northplains Telescope platform was plagued by slow load times, chronic instability, and poor search functionality, driving users to bypass the system entirely. Teams spent hours tracking down book covers to ensure proper retailer distribution, while corrupted files and duplicate assets compounded the damage. Integrating with 12+ connected systems and maintaining continuity with a core Title Management platform added further complexity to an already urgent problem.
